Yayasan Wahana Mandiri Indonesia (YWMI) is a social organization based in Yogyakarta working in community development through sustainable development programs. YWMI works in poverty reduction, education, water and sanitation, livelihood, disaster risk reduction and humanitarian aid for disaster emergency respond.
We are currently seeking to fill the position as Finance & Admin Officer (code: FAO) based in Yogyakarta.
Finance Department Summary:
The YWMI’s Finance Department is responsible for all financial functions in Indonesia, including accounting, payments and banking, payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, and grant financial management and compliance. The YWMI’s Finance Department ensures compliance with donor regulations as well as internal policies and procedures. In its role as a
support to the Program Department, the Finance Department provides timely reports and assistance to the Management and the Program team to ensure that financial resources are used efficiently and effectively.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial accounting responsibilities
– Make sure the completeness of financial documents
– Process payments (cash / bank payments)
– Assist in liaison with bank
– Keep accurate records for all daily transactions
– Update financial information and conduct data tracking systems
– Financial documents filing management (scan and hard copies)
– Directly responsible for scruitinizing financial correctness of all stages of procurement work as directed by Executive Manager, including checking quotations and financial calculation provided.
– Conduct monthly financial reconciliation
– Involve in financial audits
– Assist with budget preparation and monthly financial projection
– Keep and maintain petty cash
– Maintains of all accounting records (invoices, receipts, banking documents and etc.), ensuring that records are complete, accurate and safeguarded.
– Preparation and ensure the on-time submission of the monthly reporting package to the manager
- Handle taxations
– Preparing annual tax return and payment within the required time frame;
– Preparation and filing of monthly tax returns to the relevant authorities, as follows;
Corporate income tax (“PPh 25”); Withholding tax article 23 (“PPh 23″) ; Withholding tax article 26 (” PPh 26″); Final withholding tax return on, rent of land and/or building (“PPh 4(2)”);
– Preparation of employee income tax slip (SPT 1721-AI);
– Assist to Organize and update the organization’s tax policies
- Human Resources responsibilities:
– Coordinate with BPJS for health and staff’s insurances
– Prepare the monthly staff salary.
– Maintain salary slips

Qualification and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting field is required.
2. 3+ years of experiences performing similar duties as Finance & Administration Officer.
3. Working experience in Local NGO and in similar developing agencies.
4. Hard working and attention to detail is essential.
5. Demonstrated competency with computerized general ledger software (prefer has experience with QuickBooks for Non-Profit).
6. Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
7. Proven experience of analysing, internal control, effective coordination in financial scope
8. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
9. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-tasking and prioritize work.
10. Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and proficiency in written and oral English required.
